I'm an enabler

So I'm in Metro Textiles yesterday with a co-worker and my dear friend Kashi tells me that someone came in carrying a picture of me holding this fabric and bought some! Okay, tell who was it?! I'm dying to know! *LOL* If you don't want to let the whole world know, you can drop me a line via email.

Cause now Kashi wants me to post every single piece I buy from him...is he crazy! Do I really want y'all to know how much fabric is coming into my apartment and how bad my addiction really is? I think not!

And no I didn't make it out of Kashi's without a piece of fabric - several managed to follow me home but it's all Cidell's fault! No ifs, no ands, no buts, about it! Definitely her fault!!!

I don't have to work tomorrow so I have a day of serious sewing planned...more later!

  1. You are definitely an enabler. It was not me who bought that fabric from Kashi (although you do make it look very desirable). I bought some fabric for my new project last week. I was thinking about where to shop for the fabric, and decided to go to Joel and Sons (which is sort of like B&J, but more expensive). One of my justifications for this decision was, "Carolyn bought 50 yards of fabric last month. No matter how much I spend per yard, I'll still end up spending less than she did."

  9. No, it wasn't me (I WISH I'd been in NYC at Metro Tex, not in DC in my office...) but it IS pretty. Have you sewn it yet? Or just pull it off the shelf occassionally and pet it? Ask for a commission.

  10. You and me both, kid. You'd think Kashi would throw a little free fabric our way for all the business we've sent him! I guess I owe him a visit.

  11. Yeah, Carolyn. You're an enabler, alright!!! I loved the FM dk brown circle print. It's 'on my list' of things to buy.
You should definitely get a comission, sponsorship, percentage off of purchases, FREE FABRIC, somethin' for your endorsements! Your pics are really wonderful.

Also sign up for the Fabric Mart commission...I've bought "one or two" things from them after seeing them on your blog.

  18. What fun! I imagine your grin while writing this post is even bigger than the one on your face showing us that beautiful piece of fabric. Just keep on enabling!

  19. You're an enabler, all right and a famous one at that! There was a sewing group meeting at G Street Fabrics in Washington D.C. last month. Guess whose finished sewing project was one of those used to demonstrate how successful use of the technique being taught might look. That's right -- you. So go on with your bad self ---- and ask for commission!

  24. Girl show your fabric, so what if you are an enabler, so am I but with YARN, and ROVING for knitting. I love fabric, and there are those of us who want to know and not to feel bad about what we buy so help the SISTAH OUT and share the stash pictures, you will probably be amazed what people ARE NOT SHARING ABOUT THEIR STASH AND PURCHASES.
