I'm in a holding pattern!

I'm on countdown status.  Every morning I wake up and think only so many more days!  Due to this fact, I've done nuthin' sewing.  I mean I'm thinking about it all the time.  Almost got run over by a car crossing 57th Street this morning because I was working through a sewing technique in my head.

But all of these thoughts are about things to sew for my upcoming sewcation, nuthin for now...so I feel like I'm in a holding pattern.  Circling over my days, waiting impatiently for them to pass so that I can get to the really fun stuff!  Arrggghhhh.   As of today, I have six days before I'm free!

I do have plans for this piece of fabric on Sunday.  Because Saturday, I will be joining Elizabeth and her merry band of fabric shoppers from PR, checking out a few fabric sites in the district.  Yeah, I know I really DO NOT need another piece of fabric...but hey, I haven't been to the district in a minute and Elizabeth got Elliot Berman to open for the group Saturday morning.

Besides, I do have a supply list that needs to be filled for sewcation possibilities...*smile*

...as always, more later!

  1. That fabric you posted will look absolutely LOVELY with your skin and eyes - I could totally see a simple TNT dress made with it where all of the elegance of the dress was in the pattern. That green...*swooooon*

  3. If nothing else, the others on the "field trip" need you to encourage...er...enable...join them. :-)

It will be nice to get all the supplies you need for your sewcation, so it will be uninterrupted bliss. You're sew organized!

  4. I am currently enjoying my last few days of unemployment, and sewing too many projects at a time, so I completely understand the fact that you cannot wait for your vacation!

Also, like when I was 16, I went along an award giving thing. I chose your blog as one of my five favorites. Thank you for posting this amazing content!

  6. I also start my vacation this weekend. I will be off until September 7. I plan to sew as much as possible. I can hardly wait to start my sewcation. My sewing friends & I have a road trip on Saturday to Mary Jo's Fabrics in Gastonia, NC. I'm planning what I will sew during my time off.

  13. Love the new fabric. Gorgeous color that you'll look great in--and I can't wear. sigh. I'm so enjoying your blog and the world of "sewistas" to whom I'm being introduced. I love your creative integrity. You and your cohorts have inspired me to begin sewing for myself, again. My DH asks where I intend to wear all these new clothes. I smile. but already am thinking maybe I should begin my own sewing blog as a way to connect with others who can't pass a fabric store without entering! Keep the faith!
